Kaitlyn Breann Acton

So today was an exciting day! Brad and Amy Acton has their baby. Everybody thought they were having a boy, so it was a big shock when Brad called and said it was a girl. She weighed in at 8lbs 2ozs. 21 inches long. And she is beautiful. She has the fullest face. Both mom and baby are doing great!!!

Our Apple works Day!

Okay, So, I am not one to get upset about an injury, neither is Danny. But... This is the whole story. We go to apple works, and brookie wants to go down the slide. Which she loves to do byherself!!!!!!!! Well, Dad wanted to go down too, and I said, don't u think you are a little bit big for that?, Oh no, my spouse replies. So, they get to the top and Brookie tells her daddy you go first, then I will go. MInd u, I am at the bottom of the slide and can't see what is going on. I hear danny go and then brookie, all of a sudden, I hear danny say ouch, and brookie starts screaming. Danny comes out his sunglasses are all broke, and he pulls brookie out and there is blood everywhere. So, she is honked off, at danny, jumps into my arms and won't let me look. The bottom of her chin was already bruised. She opens her mouth and blood poors out. At first I thought she just bit her tongue and that bleeds a lot anyway. The more I looked she bit her tongue in 6 places. She still wouldn't let us look very easily. So, we got apples and left, Brookie didn't even want to do taht. So, we get home and I looked again, and both me and danny thought she had a piece of her tongue flapping back there. So, we called the dr. and she said to bri ng her in. In the meantime Danny had to go pick up Taylor and left with the car seat, I had Melinda come down and look and it's not flapping, it just looks like hamburger back there. so, i called the Dr. back and she said, the tongue heals really quickly and to call her back though if it starts bleeding again. So, that was our afternoon. She won't eat or drink anything!

Boo, we lost again, 8-1, but...

Devan played well. He got the only assist of the game. So, his name was in the paper again. This time it was spelled correctly. He did get hurt pretty bad at the end of the game. I thought he had broke his foot, but his dad says no. It still looks like it is really sticking out this morning awkard like. I know it is just swollen, but he is limping like crazy. Oh well, that is the name of the game. lol I should be posting some pictures again soon.

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, What a fun game. We won 4-0. Devan got an assist. And his name should be in the paper tomorrow. I am stoked. He played great. He played a lot of the game, so it was nice. We had a parent thrown out of the game for yelling at the ref. Not Danny or myself. All n all it was a great game.

It was a tie.

It was a tie game 2-2. Devan got absolutley NO playing time at all. He is pretty bummed about it also, wanting to quit the team ect. I told him No, once you start you can't just quit. He understood, but was just frustrated. As a mom, I was frustrated too going to the games and standing the rain and getting soaking wet then feeling super sick afterwards. Here we go with another head cold. OH well. I hope to have some more interesting stuff to type about soon.

Wow! We won our first game of the season. 8-2. Devan played great. It was so much fun to watch tonight. I hope this win will boost the teams confidence!

Better, but not good!

Well, the score was still 1-11. But Devan played awesome, and it showed to his coach. He played the whole first half, and a lot of the second one. So, that was great. The coach was pretty frustrated. And I totally understand. The team is not playing as a team. I hope that comes pretty soon. Other than that, it was an okay day. Brookie went another day without a nap. That is wearing on my nerves. She has gotten into throwing these tantrums that i am not real sure how to handle all that. I don't have any pictures to post tonight. Hopefully soon.

Warming the Bench!!!

What a hectic day. First of all I got lost driving to the game. It was in Plainfield and I printed the directions off the school's website. I was about 10 minutes late to the game. Devan was in the game when I got there and we were already down 0-2. It just got kind of worse after that. Once again Devan only played about 13 minutes of the first half, and then played the last 8 minutes of the game. Which as a parent can be super frustrating, but I can admit if I was the coach, I wouldn't have Devan in a whole bunch either. Devan is a greart soccer player. But... he has not gotten his rythm yet. The final score of the game was 0-10. Go Whiteland. We play New Pal away next Tuesday, and there soccer team is great, but very physical. Plus we play their football team tonight, if we beat them tonight, I know they will take it out on the soccer team on Tuesday.

It wasn't pretty!!!

Well, let me start of by saying that my picture selection is terrible because I had to work the concession during the game and couldn't really get any pictures at all. Boo. Let's just say this was a good game for all my friends to miss. lol. We lost 0-7. It was better than last year when we played this team. We lost like 0-15. lol Thank goodness for a really good Keeper. If it wasn't for him it would have been way worse. Devan did not play well the first part of the game, so he was taken out until about 10 minutes left. Granted it was the first game of the season, but I hope that they improve a bit. We will now be having practice Thursday morning. If we had played well, then we would have had that morning off. Oh well. You win some and you lose some!

My trip to Wal-Mart!!!!!

OH MY WORD!!! I went to Wal-Mart tonight and I am pretty sure that I looked like this women!!! People probably thought I should not be allowed to have kids. I had on my biggest loser sweats, my oldest sweatshirt that has bleached out handprints on it from chlorine. My glasses, and i haven't even brushed my hair yet and it was 7:30 in the evening. I took Brooke and Taylor. To start it off, Brookes leg got caught in the rung of the cart as I was trying to put her into it, and she started screaming. The Taylor wants to push the cart and crashes it into a box of pens and they spill everywhere. Well, then Brooke wants out of the cart and starts running around like a LOON!! I had no control over her. She then falls and goes skidding across the floor and crashes into the milk coolers. Stands up and says it's Taylor's fault!! And shows us her underware. Then tries to walk and loses her flip-flop. After that she starts skipping and acting like she is riding a horse and being so loud. I totally had no control. We leave wal-mart and I drive to Blockbuster video, where I tried to make a sharp turn and go up on the curve and then slam back down onto the pavement. I am so flustered and Taylor is laughing so hard, that I get out of the car and do not I repeat do not put it into park. I jump back in and put into park and Taylor is hysterical. My 10 year old daughter ask me if I am losing my mind. I said I think I am !!!

WOW! The 1st Day of School

It's hard to believe that it is the first day of school already. The alarm went off at 5:15 a.m. in the Coffman household. I got up thinking that I would have a few minutes to myself before everybody was up and to enjoy my coffee. That didn't happen. Devan was already in the shower, Taylor came bounding out of her room wide awake. She had been awake since 4 something in the morning. She was excited and nervous too. Poor thing couldn't even eat breakfast.
But before all that, Danny had to get up and have Devan at soccer practice by 6. Yes, that is 6 a.m. before school. Taylor for the firs time ever got ready really fast and on time. We had to leave for the bus stop at 6:30. She was off with out a hitch. Time for things to get really hectic, I had to be at the soccer field at 7:15 to get Devan, and it was funny, I think that was the first time I have seen them boys hustle that fast. When the coach dismissed the team, they scurried off that field super quick. We ran Devan home and he showered super quick and we then turned around and reloaded the car, with Brookie. We got him to school with minutes to spare. It was crazy. He got mad at his mom for taking his picture when he got out of the car. I love to embarrass my kids.
Brookie and myself and my nephew Bryce all hung out and went and ran at Jill's house, and then we went and had lunch with Danny!!! It was fun. I couldn't wait to get back and see the kids when they got home.
Taylor got home about 2:40 and had some good stories. The best was she was trying to do her locker and Danny (who was a locker dad) came up behind her and scared her to death. She couldn't get her locker opened and after about 2 tries, Danny tried and couldn't do it either, he asked her what her number was, and come to find out she was at the wrong locker. lol She said she enjoyed her day, her knew shoes gave her terrible blisters. She brought home home-work, and did that as soon as she walked in the door. I had a ton of papers to sign, and read. I felt like I was back in school.
I went down to wait for Devan to get off the bus and that was start of our fist argument of the year. He could not believe that I came down there and embarrassed him like that, taking his picture when he got off the bus. I told him to get over it, that I would be doing it when he was a senior. He didn't have to much to say. It went good. I only received one supply list from one teacher. He had a worksheet for Spanish that we disagreed on. But since this was his second year at the High School he wasn't nervous or anything. I know it will get way more hectic with him though.

We had a great first day of school. I hope that every morning can go as smoothly as this one did! Taylor getting on the bus

Our camping weekend!

What a fun weekend! We went camping at Lake Monroe with some friends of ours. Our regular camping buddies the Acton's and then the Ruddles who have not camped with us before came down for Friday night and Saturday during the day. It was soooo much fun. We ate like crazy loons. We went fishing and tubing on Saturday. It was crazy fun! We all tubed, but I think the best wipe out was Jill's she seemed to do some kind of backwards summersault into the water. Even little Madelyn Mae tubed with her dad. She seemed to like it. Neither Brooke nor Hanna wanted to tube. It was fun!! I hope more of our friends want to come down before summers end and boat for the day!!

Taylor's Day.

Today Taylor had some friends over. They swam in the pool and then Taylor is going to a Hannah Montana Party to watch Hannah's Best of Both Worlds concert on Disney. Their is a contest to see who looks most like hannah montana. She is so excited. I will let everybody know if she wins or not!!

What a Fun night!!

What fun!!! I have to tell the whole story though. Danny does NOT golf. But there is a group of guys at his work that invited him to golf in an outing next Wednesday. He said he didn't have clubs ect. But he could borrow some. Well, one of the guys bought Danny a Brand New set of his very own golf clubs. WOW!! So, now Danny has to learn to golf. We went to Otte Family Fun Center tonight and all hit balls. It was super fun. Danny did great. I started to get the hang of it at the end. Brooke and Taylor had fun too. Then Danny took me over to the batting cages and I was on FIRE!!!!! I hit almost every ball and hit them good. I think I finally (not that we only have one more game) found my stance. I felt great. We are going to try and go back on Sunday. It was a fun time. We asked Devan to go , but he was staying the night with a friend and the play station was more fun than hanging with mom and dad. Oh well the teenage years!!!

Girls Night Out -1

So, we had a girls night out to dinner -1 (my good friend stephanie). A bunch of us from small group went out to dinner because Genisis' husband is on a mission trip to Poland. She was missing him very much. Dinner was good we went to Johnny Carino's. I got the angel hair pasta with artechoke hearts. It was okay. I wish I would have gotten what everybody else got, the cheese tortilloni. It was really good. Dinner seemed pretty mellow! About 4 of the girls went to the movie, and 3 of us came home. It was a good time.

Camping Fun!

Boy was it hot this weekend. But we spent most of our time in the water. We went camping with Brad, Amy and Madelyn Acton. Plus, Amy's sister and her family went. We let Devan take a friend, (C.J.) and that turned out better than I thought. Friday, we got there about 4:30, got set up and then went out on the boat and just swam. Brookie was very leary of the "big pool", she wouldn't get in on Friday night. So, I hung out in the boat with her. Her friend Madelyn was crazy. She threw a fit when it was time to get out of the water. We then went back to camp and had hot dogs and smores, it was so yummy.

Saturday Danny and Brad got up and went fishing, came back and we had a late breakfast and then went out on the boat, where we did some swimming and tubing. That was fun. I tubed for a bit, but my arms were killing me and my swimsuit bottoms had worked themselves down over my rump, so I knew if I fell off the bottoms would be lost. lol. Taylor surprised me, last year she was an animal tubing this year she was very timid. Devan and CJ were animals. We went back to camp and had dinner, sloppyjoes, farm corn and more smores.

Sunday morning, the competition between Brad and Taylor for who could catch the most fish resumed. I believe it stands now Taylor 12, and Brad 13. There is some arguement over Brad's last fish. He got it with his hand as it was floating behind the boat, Taylor is throwing a fit over that. She doesn't like to lose. We played on the lack most of the day, and then packed up and got home around 6 ish.

It was super fun and can't wait to go again!!!!!

Our Florida Trip!!!

We left for Florida on the 9th. I was such a nervous wreck. I acted like a complete idiot the morning we left. When we got to the airport and Danny dropped us off, I had to call him before be boarded the plane and tell him sorry for acting the way I had. He said he had expected it. When I do something knew or am on a tight schedule I tend to be not very nice for a bit. Our plane ran about 30 minutes late. My sister and her finace were on our plane, plus some of the other wedding party. During our flight I got sick twice, which I kind of expected. lol. The kids did good, Devan was the best one. Taylor's ears really hurt during landing. Once we landed we met my brother and his girlfriend at the airport and took a taxi together since it was so expensive. We got to the hotel and it was so beautiful. Our room was amazing. It was simple yet pretty. It had a huge screened in porch that overlooked the ocean. That was my favorite part. On Thursday, the kids and I hung out by ourselves the wedding party all took a couple of pontoons out in the ocean to an island and drank heavily. Poor Devan got really ill feeling that evening, and had to lay down and couldn't go to dinner with the group! Well he slept the whole next day and didn't venture down until about 3:00. His ears were so burnt they look like pieces of cauliflower. He must of had sun poisoning and that is why he felt terrible. Friday was another good day. Me and the girls hung out in the ocean all day!! The rehearsal was at 4 so I go up to my room about 3:30 to grab a drink, and my swimsuit cover up only to find that my door is broke and I can't get into my room. So,it took 2 hours for them to get me into my room. Then I had to rush to get ready for the dinner. The dinner was nice, it was the best food that I had the whole time. The wedding was on Saturday and it was so beautiful. It did rain so it wasn't on the beach, but it was on the pool deck, it all worked out. My sister was gorgeous. Sunday we had late check out since our flight didn't leave until 7:49, but it rained the whole day. then we find out our plane was delayed. And then the just kept delaying it. It finally took of at 2:00 a .m. we arrived at the airport at 4:30 in the morning. My hubby was a trooper picking us up that late. All in all the vacation was fun, but it was missing something and that was my Danny and Brookie!!!

I am so blessed!!

My darling neighbor who is a wonderful painter, painted this picture of my 3 children for me. She took it off our christmas card we sent out. I had know idea she was going to do this for me. She wrote on the back. "I started painting this painting, June 6-7, the days the big flodd started. I was glad you had your boat with you while you were camping!.. and made it back safe." This is the second one she has done for me. I feel truly blessed that someone would take their time do this for my family!!!!

4th of July

We had a great 4th. We spent the actual day not doing much until the evening hours. Then we went to the Mucks house and pitched a tent with some other couples from our small group, and shot guns, ate great food, did fireworks, and had smores. The funniest thing happened though. Earlier in the evening I had done the zip line. Did it great, it was fun I even did it twice. Well, later on, my very good friend, Jill, wanted to do it in the dark. So, she goes and she flies, I was like I want to go as fast as you, what did you do, she said, I "just pushed off with my feet". I thik for a moment and I tell her, "Danny (my husband) told me I could NOT do it that way, because I would get hurt. I had to sit down on the ledge and go from there." My very good friend, tells me just do it that way anyway. So, me being me, says okay, what can happen, you just did it. OH MY WORD, what happened is exactly what Danny said would happen. It jerked me back, and I fell to the ground from the very top. I landed on my hands and knees. I am laughing so hard, I roll over and there standing over me, laughing as hard as she can is Jill. She can't even ask me if I am okay, because she is laughing so hard. Needless to say, we finally manage to pull our selves together to see that I am bleeding from my hands. We go inside and see that I have 7 blood blisters already, a swollen knuckle and scraps all over my hands. But you know what it was fun and soooooooo worth it. The only thing that would have made it even better is to have had my other very good friends Stephanie and Valarie there to share in my little mishap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today!

Today we went to church where I have the most beautiful friends in the world and they always make me feel so good about myself. After church we went to lunch with our good friends the Actons. Then it was off to my sisters' bridal shower. That was nice. The girls really enjoyed it, and got little trinkets with their names on them. Ashley got lots of cool stuff. She is super excited about her upcoming wedding on the beach. I got to see lots of family that I don't see too often, so the visiting was nice. Danny and Devan went to my dad's to visit. He retired from the railroad after 42 years on the job. Friday was his last day. It is hard to believe that he is retired!!!! The girls are across the street playing in a little wading pool. Hope everybody else had as nice day as I did!

What a Great Day!

It was a great day today. I picked up Taylor from Camp Allendale and she had so much fun. I cried though when I first saw her. But my two oldest are now home from all their camps. We then went over to a friends house and swam. And that was great! I got to spend some time with some of good friends. My hubby (who has to work late, boo) called and said to have the kids in bed by 10:15 and when he got home we was taking me to the movies to see "WANTED" which I have been dying to see and it just came out today!!!!!! I love action movies with a female lead. It makes me want to be all tough. Tomorrow we are going to a get together with are connection group which will be super fun.

It's Time Again

Well, we started practice for the 2008-2009 soccer season tonight! Poor Devan has practice tonight until 9:30 and then he has to be back out there at 6:00 a.m. We have three new coaches this year. Last year Devan played quit a few varsity games, but with new coaches you never know what can happen. Go Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we went to the pool this evening with our friends! It was so much fun!!!!! I finally got Brookie to go down the little slide and I didn't catch her and she went under, but she loved it!! Then we went down the big slide and that was so much fun!!
